Description
For the first time in history Central New York will have its own legal bourbon.Utica’s own Adirondack Distilling Company will be launching 601 Bourbon, just one day before national bourbon day.The small batch bourbon is made with only two ingredients – local New York corn and water from the Adirondacks. The name of the bourbon is taken from the distillery’s address at 601 Varick Street in Utica.“As far as we can tell, this is Central New York’s first-ever legal bourbon,” says Master Distiller Jordan Karp. “It is further proof that anyone using local ingredients and resources from Utica and Central New York can produce an amazing product that can compete and succeed at an international level.”This unusually smooth Bourbon is born from 100% local corn. A hint of natural sweetness on the nose, it develops a depth on the palette with hints of vanilla, raisin with a spicy peppery finish. You know it’s whiskey but without the burn. Try it straight up or with a drop of water to ”open up” the fragrances. Enjoy!
