Pago de Valdoneje Mencia Vinas Viejas 2015 Online now

Description
The grapes for Pago de Valdoneje Vinas Viejas are manually harvested from the estate’s original vineyard plot that dates back to 1910; the vines here are more than a century old. Fermented in stainless steel, malolactic in French oak and crianza time for 11 months in new french oak barrels. It delivers an alluring perfume of exotic spices, incense, rose petal, mineral, and black raspberry. Layered, plush, and sweetly-fruited, it has enough structure to evolve over time.
Intensive Red cherry color. On the nose it is incredibly aromatic, tasting of spice and earth, also aromas of blackberry, violet and sweet tar coming from the Bierzo soils and very old vines. The wine is firmly structured on the palate, with incredible depth and a persistent mineral and fruitdriven finish. Perfect balance with very fine tannins. This wine is unfined and unfiltered.
Tinto made with the MencÃa variety from old vines of more than 100 years . Very fine aroma with fruity notes and very fresh minerals. Well defined and direct with high quality palate, with body, balanced and vigorous. The winery assures us that this is a perfect wine for a long keeper.
